Greetings from Antony and welcome to our website which will help you discover more about my team, our salon and most importantly our culture and salon philosophy here at Antony’s. Although I no longer work on the salon floor, most of my free time is now spent working on building our online luxury hair care shop Bohairmia, along with continually coaching and developing my team for their in salon success.
Helping them to set and achieve goals in work and in their personal lives is really important to me to enable their personal growth and development. My daily mantra is ‘The best minute I spend, is the one I invest in people’.

Salon Director & Salon Manager Nikki

Hi, I'm Nikki – Salon Director & Manager at Antony’s. I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Antony for over 22 years, and I’ve been with the salon since May 2003. Over the years, I’ve built a loyal clientele of wonderful guests who have been with me since the beginning.

I’m passionate about making people feel confident and happy through personalised haircare, and my signature 5-Step Consultation ensures every guest receives a tailored experience. I specialise in all areas of hairdressing, including precision cutting, re-styling, technical colouring, colour correction, perming (including spiral perms), keratin smoothing treatments (Brazilian blow-dry), and men’s hair cutting and colouring.

With extensive knowledge of professional retail and homecare products, I take pride in recommending the best solutions to help maintain your look between salon visits. Whether you're a regular client or a first-time guest, I look forward to welcoming you to the salon and helping you achieve your perfect style.

Kelly

Salon Director 

Hi, I’m Kelly – Salon Director at Antony’s. I’ve had the privilege of working with Antony for over 25 years, and I’m proud to be part of a team that’s passionate about excellence in hairdressing. Alongside my salon role, I play a key part in Antony’s Night School Academy, where I mentor our Saturday team and development stylists, helping shape the next generation of outstanding hair designers.

In addition to my work at the salon, I also teach hairdressing two days a week at Bury College, which allows me to share my experience and love for the craft with aspiring professionals. I find great joy in passing on my knowledge and seeing new talent grow in skill and confidence.

My expertise covers all aspects of cutting, re-styling, technical colouring, colour correction, perming, and working with naturally curly hair. I also specialise in nano keratin smoothing treatments (also known as the Brazilian blow-dry), as well as men’s hair cutting and colouring.

I take pride in offering expert advice on homecare routines, recommending the most suitable shampoos, conditioners, treatments, and styling products to help my guests maintain their hair’s health and style between visits.

Sarah

Salon Co-ordinator

Hi, I’m Sarah, one of the Salon Co-ordinators here at Antony’s Hair Salon in Bury. With a background in the hairdressing industry, including previous experience at Toni & Guy, I have a strong understanding of how a busy, high-performing salon operates.

Since moving to Bury with my partner Aaron – who runs his own personal fitness business (which I also support on my days off) – I’ve loved becoming part of the Antony’s team. I’m passionate about delivering a warm welcome and ensuring that every client, whether new or returning, enjoys the very best salon experience.

In addition to my front-of-house role, I also manage our salon’s social media presence and handle stock control to help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Outside of work, I enjoy keeping fit – and I’ll happily admit to indulging in Nando’s on my cheat days! I look forward to welcoming you to Antony’s soon.

Sarah

Senior Hair Designer

Hi, I’m Sarah – Senior Hair Designer at Antony’s. I began my journey in hairdressing as an apprentice at Antony’s Hair Academy in 2005, and I’ve proudly grown within the salon ever since. Along the way, I’ve taken three wonderful breaks to welcome my beautiful children, but I’ve always returned to continue doing what I love – looking after my amazing salon guests.

I’m passionate about making people feel confident and cared for, and I always aim to ensure every guest leaves the salon feeling their absolute best. I specialise in all aspects of cutting, colouring, colour correction, ombré, balayage, perming, men’s cutting and perming, and a full range of blow-drying techniques.

Foil work is my favourite technique – I love the precision and creativity it allows, especially when creating beautiful, multi-dimensional highlights and lowlights tailored to each guest.

Hi, I’m Nichola Louise – though everyone here at Antony’s knows me as Nic Lou! I re-joined the Antony’s team in January 2017 after spending 10 years running my own salon. It’s been amazing to return to such a supportive, lively, and professional environment – it truly feels like being part of one big family.

I’m passionate about creativity in all areas of hairdressing and love staying up to date with new techniques and trends. My specialist areas include precision cutting, all aspects of colouring and colour correction, perming, spiral perming, men’s perming and colouring, nano smoothing treatments, and working with naturally curly hair.

For me, hairdressing is about more than just style – it’s about helping people feel confident, refreshed, and uniquely themselves. I look forward to welcoming you to the salon!

Ruth

Senior Hair Designer & In-House Educator

Hi, I’m Ruth – and this is my second time working at Antony’s, and I couldn’t be happier to be back! After completing my teaching certificate and earning my degree during four years at university, it feels amazing to be back on the salon floor, doing what I love in such a vibrant and supportive environment.

As a Senior Hair Designer, my specialist areas include precision cutting, re-styling, technical colouring, colour correction, working with naturally curly hair, perming, curly blow-dries, men’s cutting, colouring, and men’s perming. I’m passionate about creating looks that bring out the best in every individual.

In addition to my salon work, I’m proud to serve as Antony’s in-house educator. I spend my Mondays mentoring and coaching our apprentices, helping them work towards their NVQ Level 3 qualifications and grow into confident, skilled professionals.

Outside of work, I’m a busy mum of three who loves family time and cooking at home. I’ll dance to anything with a good beat, and I can never say no to a perfectly cooked steak when dining out.

My hairdressing journey began in Rochdale at Razors Edge before taking me to a fast-paced salon in the heart of Manchester city centre. It was there that I received some incredible industry training, which really allowed my creativity to thrive.

After qualifying, I moved to London where I honed not just my technical skills in cutting and colouring, but also the ability to deliver a truly exceptional salon experience. It was during this time that I mastered the art of a thorough, personalised consultation — something I continue to prioritise to ensure every client leaves with a look they truly love.

Returning to the North West, I worked in Blackpool before opening my own successful salon in Lytham St. Annes. After running it for 20 wonderful years, I decided it was time for a new chapter — one that would bring me back to what I love most: being hands-on, creative, and working directly with clients on the salon floor.

I’m thrilled to work with such a talented team at Antony’s and look forward to sharing my passion, experience, and personalised approach to every guest I meet.

Hi, I’m Eleanor. Ever since I was 10 years old, I’ve dreamed of becoming a hairdresser – and now I’m lucky enough to be living that dream every day at Antony’s.

I love meeting new people, and working in such a busy, welcoming salon gives me the perfect opportunity to do just that. While we all work hard to deliver the best for our clients, there’s always time for a good chat and a bit of fun along the way!

I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing, especially cutting, colouring, and blow-drying, and I’m always excited to keep learning and growing within the industry.

Hi, I’m Ellie – Hair Designer at Antony’s Salon & Academy. I’ve dreamed of becoming a professional hair designer since I was a young girl, and after attending Elton High School, I’ve worked hard to turn that dream into reality.

My goal at Antony’s is to keep growing and developing my skills every day. I love all aspects of hairdressing, with a particular passion for cutting, technical colouring, bleach work, toning blonde hair, and creating smooth, shiny blow-dries with polished styling techniques.

Outside the salon, I enjoy listening to dance music and indulging in my favourite cuisines – Italian and Chinese.

Future Hair Professional

Hi, I’m Ellie – and becoming a professional hairdresser has been my dream for as long as I can remember. Training with the incredible team at Antony’s is the perfect first step toward making that dream a reality.

I’m currently enrolled in Antony’s in-Salon Hair Academy and attend weekly Night School, where I’m learning all aspects of hairdressing through hands-on experience. This training has been invaluable in my role as a Future Hair Professional, allowing me to support the team and build confidence while working with real salon guests.

Outside of the salon, I enjoy walking my dog, spending time with friends, and going shopping. I’m a big fan of Italian food, and my biggest inspiration is my Grandma – a hairdresser herself, and someone I’ve always admired.

I’m excited to continue growing and learning every day as part of the Antony’s team!

Katie

Future Hair Professional

I chose to pursue my hairdressing apprenticeship at Antony’s after reading great reviews online and hearing wonderful things about the salon from family and friends. It seemed like the perfect place to start my career in this exciting industry.

I attended Woodhey High School, where I enjoyed my time up until the end of Year 10, when I decided to follow my passion for hairdressing. I’ve always loved experimenting with my hair, and over the years, that passion has grown into a true love for the industry. The two people who inspire me most are my mum and dad – they’ve always encouraged me to believe that I can achieve anything I set my mind to.

Outside of hairdressing, I love spending time with my family and boyfriend. I’m also a huge music fan, especially Rihanna and Chris Brown. When it comes to food, my favourites include Spaghetti Carbonara, Chicken Korma, Rib-Eye Steak & Chips with peppercorn sauce, and a classic Sunday roast.

I’m excited to continue learning and growing as part of the Antony’s team and can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!

Internet Operations

Hi, I’m Karen, and I’m proud to be Bury born and bred. I live with my boyfriend, Mike, and our mischievous cat, Una. Outside of work, I’m a bit of a bookworm and a secret gamer girl – I love diving into video games whenever I get the chance. I also enjoy a good night out with friends and family, balancing work with plenty of fun!

My favourite meals are the ones Mike cooks – he’s definitely the home chef in our household, and his home-cooked dishes are always delicious.

What I love most about working at Antony’s is the fantastic atmosphere. It’s a fun, energetic environment where I truly feel like part of the team. Everyone is so welcoming, and I love the positive vibe we all share.
