Greetings from Antony and welcome to our website which will help you discover more about my team, our salon and most importantly our culture and salon philosophy here at Antony’s. Although I no longer work on the salon floor, most of my free time is now spent working on building our online luxury hair care shop Bohairmia, along with continually coaching and developing my team for their in salon success.
Helping them to set and achieve goals in work and in their personal lives is really important to me to enable their personal growth and development. My daily mantra is ‘The best minute I spend, is the one I invest in people’.

Director & Salon Manager Nikki

My name is Nikki and I am the Salon Manager & Director here at Antony’s. I have worked with Antony for over 20 years. I have a great clientèle of regular salon guests that have been coming to the salon since I first started with the company in May 2003. I love making my guests happy and seeing the difference that I can make with a personalised 5 Step consultation.  I specialise in all aspects of cutting,re-styling, technical colouring, colour correction, perming, spiral perming, keratin smoothing treatments (aka brazilian blow dry), men's hair cutting and colouring.  I have extensive retail/homecare knowledge which allows me to make the best possible home haircare recommendations for all my salon clients and visitors to the salon.

Hi, my name is Kelly and I have been working with Antony for 25 years. I am one of Antony’s Salon Directors and I am also heavily involved in Antony’s Night School Academy where I train all our
Saturday team and development stylists to become next level hair designers.  In addition to this, I also teach hairdressing to students at Bury College 2 days per week. I love my role in the salon and it makes me so proud to have the opportunity to share all my knowledge and experience with the next generation of talented hairdressers.  I specialise in all aspects of cutting, re-styling,  technical colouring, colour correction, perming, working with natural curly hair clients, nano keratin smoothing (aka brazilian blow dry), men's hair cutting and colouring.  I am also very experienced in making the right recommendations for my salon guests on which is the best homecare to use regarding shampoo, conditioner, treatment, styling and finishing products.

Salon Co-ordinator

Hello, my name is Sarah and I am one of the salon co-ordinator’s here at Antony’s hair salon in Bury. Having previously worked in the hairdressing industry for Tony & Guy, I have a really good understanding of how a busy and successful salon works.
I recently moved into the Bury area with my partner Aaron who has his own personal fitness business which I help him with on my day’s off.
I love meeting new people and welcoming clients old & new to Antony’s, ensuring that everybody receives the best possible salon experience every visit. Alongside my ‘meet and greet’ role I am also responsible for the salon’s social media and stock control. In my spare time I love keeping fit and eating Nando’s chicken on my ‘cheat days’! I look forward to seeing you soon here at Antony’s.

Sarah

Senior Hair Designer

Hello, my name is Sarah. I started my career at Antony’s Hair Academy in 2005 as an apprentice and since then I have worked myself up to the position of a Senior Hair Designer. I now had 3 little breaks to have my three beautiful children.  But always came back to look after all my lovely salon guests. I love making my salon guests happy and feel good about themselves. I specialise in all aspects cutting, colouring, colour correction, ombre, balayage , perming, men's perming, men's cutting, colouring and all aspects of blow drying.  My favourite technique is foil work due to the care and attention that is required to create multi dimensional highlights and lowlights.

 

 

Nic Lou

Senior Hair Designer

Hi, my name is Nichola Louise but everyone in the salon calls me Nic Lou. I re-joined Antony’s team in January 2017 after 10 years owning my own salon. I am so happy to be back, there is always a great atmosphere and we have such fun at work (whilst remaining professional of course)… we are like one big family. I love being creative in all areas of hairdressing and learning new techniques. My specialist areas include all aspects of cutting, colouring, colour correction, perming, spiral perming, men's perming, men's colouring, nano smoothing treatments and everything working with naturally curly hair.

 

Ruth

Senior Hair Designer

This is my second stint at Antony’s and I am really excited  that I work with such a great team of people. After completing my teaching certificate and 4 years at university it really is great to back on the tools in this vibrant salon.  My specialist areas are, Cutting, re-styling, technical colouring, colour correction, working with naturally curly hair, perming, curly blow dry's, men's hair cutting, colouring and men's perming.

I am also the salons in-house educator which means that my Monday's are spent coaching and developing our apprentices up to Hairdressing NVQ Level 3 

I love spending time with my 3 children and family and cooking at home. I will dance to anything that makes me move and love a good steak when I do eat out. I can’t wait to meet new clients and some familiar faces from the past.

Marcia

Senior Hair Designer

My name is Marcia and I am live in Milnrow. On leaving school in 2007 I successfully completed my hairdressing Level 2 at John Peers Academy in Rochdale. I then went on to complete my NVQ Level 3 at a Whitefield salon. Having worked in salons in the Whitefield and Heywood areas I have gained valuable salon experience. I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing but particularly specialise in cutting women’s hair as well as transformational colouring, curly blow dry's, colour correction and all advanced aspects of balayage and ombre techniques.  I have 2 children who are my world. In my free time, I go to the gym and spend time with my friends and family. When relaxing alone I like to listen to all genres of music.  I am really looking forward to meeting more lovely new clients at Antony’s.  I truly enjoy working with such a large team of talented hair designers in a professional environment.

Carlo

Senior Hair Designer

I started my career in Rochdale working for Razors Edge before moving on to a fast-paced salon in Manchester city centre. Here, I was fortunate to receive amazing industry training which allowed my creativity to flow.

After qualifying my hairdressing journey took me to London where I learnt how to deliver not only a great hair cut & colour but also an exceptional salon experience too. I perfected the art of carrying out a really good consultation which has ensured my clients get a look they love.

I then returned to the North West and worked in Blackpool before opening my own salon in Lytham St. Annes. My salon was a great success but after 20 years I was ready for a change and realised I wanted to spend more time being creative on the salon floor. This has led me to Antony’s where I am very excited to start the next chapter of my career.

Hi, I am Eleanor. Ever since I was 10 years old I had dreamt about being a hairdresser. I love meeting new people and working at Antony’s gives me a great opportunity to do that. The salon is always really busy and we all work really hard but there is always time for a nice chat and a little bit of fun.

Hair Designer

My name is Ellie and I am a Hair Designer at Antony’s Salon & Academy. I attended Elton High School and have always wanted to become a professional hair designer since I was a young girl. My main goal at Antony’s is to continually grow and develop my hair design skills. I really enjoy all aspects of hairdressing and in particular, all aspects of cutting,  technical colouring, bleach colouring and toning blonde hair  and styling techniques and creating smooth, shiny blow dries.
In my spare time I like listening to dance music and my favourite foods are Italian and Chinese.

Kaitlin

Development Stylist

I have a creative and artistic flair which is why I wanted to do hairdressing as a career when I left school. I attended Tottington High School and was fortunate enough to get an Apprenticeship at Antony’s Salon. I have now completed my NVQ Level 2 and am working as a Development Stylist in the salon whilst working towards my NVQ Level 3 at the in-salon training academy.  In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family and singing. My favourite food is Italian.

The thing I love most about working at Antony’s is the whole team are really lovely, supportive and welcoming, it’s like having a second family. I am really looking forward to meeting new clients at the salon.

Future Hair Professional

My name is Ellie, and I am in my final year at Tottington High School. My goal is to become a Future Hair Professional and choosing to work and train with the team at Antony’s is what’s best for my hairdressing future. I attend the weekly after school club at the salon where I am learning all aspects of hairdressing. This is really important to me as it means that in my role as a Saturday Girl I get to be more ‘hands on’ with the salon guests. 

In my spare time I love taking my dog named Benson out for walks.  I also enjoy shopping and being with my friends.  My favourite food is Italian.  My inspiration for wanting to be a Hair Professional is my Grandma as she was a hairdresser who I have always admired.

Future Hair Professional

A family member recommended that I do my hairdressing apprenticeship at Antony’s because they have fantastic training academy and salon reputation. They also have a great salon team who are incredibly experienced.

I chose to do Hair Design as a career as it will allow me to express my individuality and my creativity. My school was Unsworth Academy, but to be honest I really did not enjoy school and I am now enjoying doing something I love whilst getting paid. I am inspired by Mum who I really admire and look up to. My mum is a hairdresser which means that I have a good understanding of what is needed to be the best possible me.

My hobbies include spending time with my family, friends and boyfriend. At home we have 2 French Bulldog’s. My current favourite food is noodle’s, but I also enjoy pizza and pasta.

Future Professional

I decided to do my hairdressing apprenticeship at Antony’s after seeing the great reviews for the academy and salon on the internet.  I had also heard great things about Antony’s Salon from other people in my family and their friends. 

I went to Woodhey High School where I enjoyed it up until the end of year 10.  I really wanted to do hairdressing as I have always enjoyed trying things out with my hair since a young age and subsequently developed a passion for the industry.  The two people in my life who truly inspire me are my mum and dad because they have always made me believe I can achieve anything I put my mind to.  

My hobbies are spending time with my family and my boyfriend.  I love listening to music, especially Rihanna & Chris Brown. My favourite foods are Spaghetti Carbonara, Chicken Korma, Rib Eye Steak & Chips with peppercorn sauce and a Sunday roast with loads of gravy.

Hi my name is Karen and I am Bury born and bred.  I live with my boyfriend Mike and our cat Una.  I love reading, playing video games (I’m a secret gamer girl) and having a good night out.  My favourite food is home cooked by Mike as he’s the home chef. I really enjoy working at Antony’s because it’s a fun place to be and the team are all really nice.
